How often do we get a request for a recipe of a dish brought to an event. Or this is my favorite recipe from my mom. This is the place to share recipes and Joseph Petz Photography will shoot the finished creation.
My Baba would make enough banana bread to feed all in the family. This first post is dedicated to her and her always thinking of everyone before herself.
1 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup sugar
1 stick margarine
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 bananas mashed
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup nuts
1/2 cup raisins
Soak raisins 10-15 minutes in hot water.
Sift together flour, baking soda, salt; set aside. Cream sugar, margarine, eggs and vanilla. Combine bananas and sour cream, add to creamed mixture; mix well. Add the sifted dry ingredients; mix well. Add nuts and raisin. Grease flour bread pan.
Topping: Combine 1 tsp sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon. Sprinkle over the top of batter.
Bake 350 degrees for 1 hour or until done.
